| Gretchen Weiss was born in Los Angeles, the youngest of 6 children. Her musical father and artistic mother helped to mold her into the Actress/Singer she is today. Gretchen attended Occidental College, and has trained with The John Kirby Studio and Second City. Gretchen first found her voice with James Coday and then with Elizabeth Howard of Vocal Power. Gretchen has performed many roles on stage, including: Gia in Carmelina (at the York Theater with Debbie Gravitte), Luisa in "The Fantasticks" (for which she won a Drama-Logue Award), Lili in "Carnival", Audrey in "Little Shop of Horrors", and Sophie in "Camille" (with Linda Purl and Kevin Spirtas). Gretchen is currently residing in her home town, mainly working in film and television. Look for her as the quirky Karen in the upcoming series, "God Help Us". |
